In the last month, the world has changed in ways we still do not recognize. 

 

As a school community, and as a community of families, we are navigating this unprecedented crisis together. Our endlessly creative teachers are charting a path forward, so our kids will be able to finish their school year - and so we can all look forward to a much brighter future.

 

Even in hard times, the mission of Larchmont Charter School continues: to provide a world-class education for every child, and to make sure every child graduates ready for college, with a college plan. 

 

It costs $20 million dollars to run Larchmont Charter School every year - to do all the wonderful things LCS provides for our kids: small class sizes, teacher aides, a robust arts program, competitive sports and much more. We receive only $18 million in state funding. The $2 million gap, between what it costs to run Larchmont Charter School and what we receive from the state, is ALL due to our fundraising. Larchmont Charter School is a “free” public charter school, open to all the children of Los Angeles, only because WE as a community make it so.

It’s “free” only because of our hard work, commitment and dedication to this wonderful school.
